iSPIRAL delivers valuable insights to industry elite

iSPIRAL, the region’s leading provider of Regulatory Technology solutions, is proud to announce its recent participation in several key events in the payments, Forex, and regulatory sectors. These events provide iSPIRAL with a valuable platform to share its expertise and innovative solutions with industry peers and stakeholders.

Insight and Vision

At the Vision Forex Forum organised by QUBE Events and held on April 26 at the Parklane Resort & Spa in Limassol, iSPIRAL’s Managing Director Christos Ttiniozou took part in an engaging panel discussion titled ‘Regulation in 2023: Payments, Crypto, and the Forex Sector’, along with other esteemed industry leaders.

Mr Ttiniozou’s insights on the current regulatory landscape of payments, crypto, FOREX in Cyprus, expected regulations such as instant payments and MiCA, cross-border activities, and screening and sanctions were warmly welcomed by the most elite FX players in the market.

Breakthrough Services

iSPIRAL was also a part of the 7th Payments360 Conference in Athens on April 27, which focused on topics including instant payments, PSD2, Open Banking, Fintech and Paytech contributions, Blockchain, Fraud Detection, AML, Cybersecurity, and GRC strategies. The conference showcased how instant payments are disrupting the payments landscape and paving the way for new approaches, systems, and breakthrough services for the new-generation payments era.

The highlight of the conference was a fireside chat on ‘The Nexus of AML, Cybersecurity, and GRC Strategies’, in which iSPIRAL industry expert Christos Ttiniozou and AOZ’s Nikolaos Manousis explored the interconnected relationship between Anti-Money Laundering, cybersecurity, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance strategies. “These are vital concepts that must be integrated and coordinated to effectively manage risk and ensure compliance in today’s complex business environment,” explains Mr Ttiniozou.

Sanctions Overview

Taking place on April 26 at Limassol’s Columbia Plaza Venue Centre, the seminar ‘Sanctions Overview: A Practical Approach’ also saw iSPIRAL in a crucial role. Organised by the Cyprus Fiduciary Association, this independent three-hour seminar introduced applicable EU Restrictive Measures to Authorised Service Providers (ASPs) and analysed how relevant prohibitions may affect day-to-day operations.

Invited to speak at the seminar, iSPIRAL’s Research & Development Manager Maria Kyriakou provided valuable information on the company’s KYC, AML, and Fraud solutions, as well as its award-winning RegTek+ Platform. Attendees had the opportunity to examine possible derogations under applicable EU regulations and review current procedures for obtaining licences from the Ministry of Finance, as well as scrutinise the interpretation and application of restrictive EU measures by EU and Swiss banks.

As the region’s leading provider of RegTech solutions, iSPIRAL enables businesses to comply with complex regulations and effectively mitigate risk. With clients from a vast range of industries (including banking, financial services, insurance, corporate services, and law firms), iSPIRAL is committed to providing exceptional customer service and support to its clients, leveraging its team’s deep expertise and experience in the regulatory and compliance space.
